Success in Nigeria: we conclude New Football Era’s First International Tryout – From 11 to 14 June 2025, New Football Era held its first major International Tryout at the ABS Stadium in Kaduna (Nigeria), in close collaboration with Rayo Vallecano de Madrid.
Objective and format
Organised for under-19 footballers —with a parallel under-14 tournament— the event brought together more than 1,500 Nigerian players, who were evaluated over several days through matches and performance tests. The sessions were supervised by our technical team alongside an official delegate from Rayo Vallecano, who was present on the pitch throughout the process.
Notable results
After a week of intense and competitive football, Samuel Godwin (centre back) and Hassan Musa (right winger) were selected as the big winners of the Tryout. Both have been invited to travel to Spain and take official trials with Rayo Vallecano in Madrid.
Impact and mission
This project represents our essence: identifying, training and promoting international talent for professional football in Europe. Nigeria has once again proven to be fertile ground for talent, discipline and a hunger for success.
